The Star Chamber existed from 1487 to 1641. It has its origins in the meetings of the King’s royal council, but became a seperate judiciary body under Henry VII. It was a supervisory court which sometimes acted as a quick stop on the way to the tower of London. The judges were members of the King’s council or judges hand picked from the lower courts. It royally kicked ass.
